about

Cocoonics is a music production cocoon tied to the great tree of Eating Music. After getting her start in 2017 with an SP-404 live set on Hong Kong Community Radio, she appeared onstage at Hong Kong’s Clockenflap and Sónar festivals the following year before officially entering the Shanghai music scene in 2020 and became the resident DJ in the world-famous underground club Elevator.

Using her signature SP-404, Cocoonics wields an explosive power during her live performances; rich selection of songs fuelled by UK bass, broken beats, afro drums and world elements is flowing like a stage play. With the
blessing of the device’s effects, fierce and provocative music erupts from her hands.

As a music producer, Cocoonics has participated in various compilations and released singles in a wide range of styles, including hip-hop, drum & bass, dark ambient, and experimental electronic. The well-acclaimed single "Why The End Of The World Has Not Yet Come", accompanied by a music video by Haomin Peng, was her new exploration of personal growth through Cantonese spoken word. Her 2021 EP "wu... / HA!" was officially
released on April 28 and recommended on Bandcamp Weekly.

Her track "peace O peace" is a gap. "O" is the little hollow that appears after two peace worlds being ripped
apart, for us to sneak into.
