88 - Double Happiness: Enjoy the music and Support a cause :)

Next stop is in Hong Kong with one of the most surprising artist of the compilation, Joi Lau started his musical career in the early 90s when he got signed by a record label in Hong Kong. His debut Canto-pop album in 1990 went gold and sold over 25000 copies. But soon after, due to personal reason, he left the music industry. During this past 30 years, Joi’s passion for music still continued and he never stopped making music. Finally, in 2021, Joi returned once again to the music industry with his first
dance music album, “3 UR MIND”, released on Klasswrecks records managed by Mr. Ho and Luca Lozano.
Unbound by traditional genres and classifications, it has drawn the attention of labels, radios and DJ’s from around the world. Among them, a notable DJ in Hong Kong praised him as “an architect of electronic music”
and an “local talent with international quality”. With close to a hundred tracks in his back catalogue of works, fans can only wait patiently and look forward to his next album

About his track. he has always liked Al Pacino. He especially liked his performance as Tony Montana in ScarFace. When he started writing this piece, he just so happens to see a post about Scar Face on Facebook,
and that became the inspiration for his music production. He wanted to portray a different and interesting side to this character. He remembers in one scene of the movie; Tony Montana was trying to approach the female lead (Michelle Pfeiffer) on the dance floor in a nightclub. (Of course, this helped reinforce Tony’s dance skills in his mind).
