about

Pamcy is a Manila-based electronic music producer and DJ who has a DIY approach to house music. She forms upbeat sound collages with colorful synths, bits of vocal samples, and all sorts of bleeps. Her work as an
electronic music artist is a personal exploration of identity and everyday life, which she repackages into fun and whimsical tracks.

Her latest release is an EP called Sauce Aisle via Japanese label Jun Records. Aside from her solo work, she has made remixes for Filipino-Japanese singer-songwriter ena mori, Cameroonian-American artist Vagabon, and Filipino act Breakfast Clouds.

Noted for her deliberate process in music production and her signature recipe of home-cookedhouse music, she has received support from the likes of Bandcamp, Vice Asia, Mixmag,Bandwagon Asia, and NME Asia as
well as Philippine publications such as Scout Magazine, The Rest Is Noise PH, Young Star, and CNN Philippines.

Her track Rambutan is inspired by the Southeast Asian fruit it was named after. The steady pulsating rhythm, sparse sound textures, and smooth synth work mimic the soft inner flesh and straightforwardly sweet flavor of
this furry red fruit that grows in the tropics.
