88 - Double Happiness: Enjoy the music and Support a cause :)

TMPST is the moniker of producer/musician Asfandyar Khan, who also records ambient music under his own name.
As TMPST, he has been making since 2012, and was part of the Karachi electronic music collective Forever South. With four releases under his belt, he coalesces multiple genres together, weaving in and out of house,
techno, and post-dubstep, with washes of synths and ambient pads resting calmly over driven four-on-thefloor or two-step shuffles. His latest release, ‘Inside Your Head’ is full of straight-up techno, weaving between
rave and industrial, while never really forgetting his penchant for textures that define his ambient work.

TMPST’s music has previously been featured on Pitchfork, Fader and Dummy Mag, alongside multiple Indian’s music coverage websites such as Rolling Stone India, Wild City and Homegrown.

TMPST made this track during the pandemic, and wanted something that went straight for the gut but still hypnotic enough to put you in a trance. He has been enjoying playing with lots of weird textures and sounds, and the basis for this track came through with some completely morphed field recordings he had made of the city of Karachi. He likes that the track has that element, or part of, Karachi in its makeup, as this is the city that
really ignited my interest in techno.
